Riley had a birthday party at Sparkle Plenty today - she was so excited to go there for the first time. One friend has coined it as the place where your sweet little girl walks in, and a 2 cent street walker walks out. Nice, I know. It was actually very sweet and appropriate. The girls choose an outfit and accessories (tons to choose from), and get their hair, nails, and make-up done (Ri had a good 2 inch-thick layer of gold glitter on her eye lids). Then they have a dance party on a stage, play games, sing karaoke, listen to stories, and celebrate the birthday. Riley loved every second! Good thing she swam at the pool afterwards to wash some of it out - we were going to make Grandma come back from the beach to comb the hairspray/glitter-infested rat's nest out of her hair!
