Happy 3rd Birthday Jack Jack!

We celebrated baby boy's 3rd birthday with a day at the NC Zoo! After seeing what that pesky Leprechaun did, and opening some presents, we were thrilled to have daddy play hooky from work and hit the road with us for a fun family day. The weather could not have been more PERFECT and the kids had a blast running from animal to animal. We finished the evening with a trip to Grandma's and Grandpa's for some new Batman toys, dinner out, and a long cuddle in bed to, what else....Toy Story 3. Now we have some finishing touches to get ready for the farm birthday on Saturday with family and friends. Thank you to everyone who sent messages/cards/well wishes for Jack Jack. He is certainly one loved little boy, and our lives would not be the same without him. We are so blessed!

opening his gift from riley...a buzz and bulls eye to cuddle with. his favorite.

have i mentioned that jack is obsessed with toy story?...here is a picture of (some of) his army. we have multiples of each little character and he accounts for every single one. try stepping on one of these suckers in the middle of the night on your way to the bathroom.

such sweet kids. we are so lucky.

catching a ride with daddy

the elephants were jack's favorite. excuse the big pile of fresh dung (the smell was less than pleasant!), but all 4 elephants were close enough to really enjoy.

not sure what this thing is...a kangaroo? a wallaby?

look at that carolina blue sky!

riley hand-fed an ostrich once, so it remains her favorite zoo animal

the gorilla cracked them up as it sat, picked its nose, and then ate its boogers.
n.a.s.t.y.

ALL jack wanted today was chocolate ice cream. he got it - twice. my sweet boy can have anything he wants.
