The Big Apple

Riley and I had a wonderful trip to NYC to stay with Meriwether and see the sights. This was Riley's big birthday present, along with a doll of her choosing at American Girl. She loved everything we did, and it was so special being able to show her why I love New York so much during the holidays. I think she has officially become a Big City Girl just like her momma!

Our first night - she got to pick anything she wanted for dinner, and she picked SUSHI. A real New Yorker :-)

Hanging out at the Holiday Market in Union Square

One of very many taxi rides...very exciting!

The subway was also a big hit - she thought is was stinky, but loved the idea of being underground

Getting ready to go in FAO

Sharing the infamous Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity

Seeing the sites

The only picture we remembered to take of the two of us!

Enjoying cereal milk and other yummies at the famed Milk Bar

Her first official manicure, birthday compliments of Meriwether

Riley and Meriwether were two peas in a pod anytime we went into a candy store. They stocked up at the M&M store.

By the Rockefeller Tree with her new doll, "Elizabeth" - she looks just like Riley

Lunch at American Girl - Meriwether and I were pleasantly surprised to find out they serve mimosa's...

With Harry Potter at the Scholastic Store

Yummy food at mommy's favorite restaurants, lots of walking, cupcakes from Crumb's, fresh guacamole at Rosa Mexicana, chasing pigeons with the stroller, shopping, looking at Christmas windows, and enjoying special time with Meriwether, was enough to wear us both out! Of course nothing ever leaves on time from LGA, so after a 2 hour delay in the airport, this tired girl was happy to be home!
